THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY EVER – Jonker Street

A Chinatown street with a lot of antiques, handicraft store, traditional foods and museum gallery. It transform into a lively night market on every weekend nights and attract many tourists come and feel the lovely atmosphere.
Have you ever walk at a street that filled with historical stuffs? There is a street called Jalan Hang Jebat and it famous with its name “Jonker Street” at Malacca was a historical Chinatown street which located just the opposite of the Dutch Square. There are many of heritage houses along the two sides of Jonker Street which built during the 17th century. At 17th century, rich Peranakans as known as Baba and Nyonya lived there and started their business at there.
Now, 21st century, the heritage houses along Jonker Street have turned into shops that selling souvenir, antiques, foods and handicrafts. The street transforms into a lively night market on every weekend nights and it turns in a very crowded night market. Many things can be found at there, especially traditional foods which in a reasonable price and some antiques such as traditional toys that hard to find nowadays, you can also try your luck and find it at Jonker Street.
If you are really finding a must-go place in Malacca, you definitely cannot miss out this place. You can also get many different types of souvenirs at here if you had promised your friends to buy souvenirs for them. Here are the tips from me! Remember to bargain with the sellers as you can get cheaper price if you bargain with them.
