Witness the development and changes of Johor Bahru – Survival of old railway station

Johor Bahru old railway station is located at Jalan Tun Abdul Razak for almost 80 years, most of the people are relatively don’t know that this railway station has equipped with a café, upstairs are some hotels, let the passing traveller to have a rest overnight.
There is a Jalan Station in the city of Johor Bahru, very short distance, exactly the width of Johor Bahru City Square. Hundreds of pedestrians jostle each other on the city of Johor Bahru, from Jalan Wong Ah Fook through Station Road, and went to Jalan Tun Abdul Razak. The road is named by the “Station” because its crossing is faced to Johor Bahru old railway station.
In 1931, Johor Bahru old railway station started service, and ended in 2010. It has seen countless joys and sorrows, although things change with the passing of years, the building around it has been built and removed several times, it still stay here stably, watching the developments and changes in Johor Bahru.

Johor Bahru old printing bureau which has been closed down has once printed receipt for the hotel of railway station. The printed of “Station Hotel Bar & Coffee House” receipt, has the sign of railway station on the top, and only 4 digit of telephone number.
There were some stalls selling candy and magazine at the downstairs of railway station at that time. |
